A&D CONCERT - 24th July

The Grade 1 NZ Champion Auckland and District Pipe Band will be performing a concert just prior to embarking on the European tour in August.

The venue offers excellent acoustics, and will promise to be a great show featuring material prepared for concerts/parades at the Festival Intercetique de Lorient, as well as competition sets for the World Championships at Glasgow.

Our carload thought the concert was well worth the trip - great sound, good accoustics, nice ensemble balance despite the imbalance of numbers, good variety of presentation and tunes appealing to all tastes. The slight separation between the wings of pipers in the early items won't be a problem when you're contesting in the circle. Best wishes from us in the Hamilton band for a wonderful trip and top contest results.
